Well, there’s only eight
months left and I can’t wait. Since I started support raising about a month ago
I have raised $725 which means I have $7,275 left to raise. Please pray that
God will bring this money in and if you feel God leading you to donate more,
and ONLY if you feel God leading you, just click here!
Quite a bit has been going on
lately. I’ve been going to school, working at Starbucks on weekends, working at
a daycare on weekdays, going to church, raising a pig and some how I fit in eating and sleeping!
Haha! Sometimes I feel like I never stop moving. But God is good. He’s been
teaching me some stuff about prayer and listening to Him. These two things are
crucial in our relationship with the Lord but it seems like I’ve been slacking
off in this area.
He’s also been teaching me a
lot about depending on others and patience. He’s teaching me dependence by
making me find a ride to school every morning since I cant drive my truck to
school till February, and patience by having me wait six months before I get
out of school. I can’t wait for this year to pass and I’m ready for it to be
summer time but I know God is using this year to prepare me for the journey
ahead. I have some major senioritis which I’m pretty sure I’ve had since the
first grade but some how I’m managing to make all A’s and B’s in my classes,
praise God.
My upcoming plans for the rest
of my time here in US are pretty exciting… well at least they are for me haha!
Christmas is in a few days and on the 28th I’m heading out to visit
my friend, Lauren Tatum, in Dallas, who I met on the Peru
trip, and then on to Little Rock, Arkansas to visit Emily Davis who I met on the Philippines
trip. I’ll be returning sometime around the 1st of January. The week
before spring break I’m most likely taking a trip to the east coast to visit
Anna Kepmner in Delaware, Luis in NYC and Doug in Philly, who are all from the Peru
trip. Hopefully I get to see all of them and maybe even some more who might decide
to come in the few days I’ll be spending there. Over spring break I’d like to
take a mission trip to either Mexico
or Galveston
but I’m still waiting on God’s answer for that one. I graduate on June the seventh
and after that is a pretty exciting summer. I’m not sure about God’s plans for
the summer but they could include a summer camp, a week long mission trip to Saltillo,
Mexico, a family trip to Colorado, a beach retreat to South Padre, a mission
trip to Colorado and maybe even leading a junior high mission trip somewhere
close to home. Obviously I still have a lot of praying to do about next summer,
but what ever God has planned for me, I’m excited about it. And who knows, I might just be working at
Starbucks all summer. Haha!
Well, that’s about all that’s been
going on lately and I hope you enjoyed reading. My goal is to blog every week
and most blogs will hopefully be a little bit more than me just telling about
my plans and stuff haha! Please let me know how I can be praying for you and be
sure to ask me any questions you might have. You can leave a comment or send me
an email at [email protected],
which ever is more convenient for you.
I love you and God bless you!
